The show at East-West Bookstore sold out…thanks everyone for spending time with us on a rainy weekend.

Special thanks to Dave DiLullo for inviting me to perform for Global Heart Concert II, and to my amazing band: Michael Manring, Dave DiLullo, Jeff Oster, Todd Boston, and Troy Arnett. And our sound team and image capturers.

Thanks Lee and the East-West team for a great job.

We heard some fantastic song titles contributed by the audience last night for two of my tunes . Did I hear public vote? Hmmm…that’s a good idea.

Percussionist Jeff Haynes on Shambhu "Sacred Love"

The genius of percussionist Jeff Haynes graces Sacred Love. The songs by Shambhu represented a wonderland of creative opportunity and Jeff Haynes stepped into it and simply let the music guide him.

“What does the music need?” That is the question to ask and Jeff answered it so magnificently. Watching the YouTube series, “The Making of Sacred Love,” you can watch Jeff play percussion instruments from Africa, Asia and South America.

Maui Breeze was composed on November 26, 2009 late in my San Francisco studio and I finished the demo while connecting with the divine Spirit on Maui. This song goes deep with its modal flavoring and sweet harmonic textures. Hope you like it. Leave me a comment on how you feel about it.

Maui Concert Set – Dec 12th

Last May I was on Maui and had the idea to organize a concert celebration with friends. With the help of celestial vocalist Lani Star, this concert has come to life.

On Dec 12th at 6:30 pm, I’ll be performing with my friends Ann Licater, Jeff Oster, Lani Star, Kit Thomas and other, at the Waipuna Chapel, in Lower Kula on Maui.

More details to emerge. But it’s going to be an incredible evening of soulful and contemplative music with a holiday theme. There will be children singing holiday songs that will transform this evening into pure joy. Hope to see you there!
