Can music affect your mood? Writing, recording and playing relaxing music is like a personal therapy that helps me to find that often elusive daily bliss. In the chaos of life, listening to relaxing music regularly in the car, at work, and while chilling at home, helps me increase my calm and it reduces my stress and anxiety, which helps me set a positive tone for the day ahead.
I use relaxing music as a sleep aid too. It helps to improve sleep quality and helps me feel more rested and refreshed in the morning.
I regularly listen to my own recorded music before it’s released, to see how I feel the next morning after falling asleep to it. I find that the music saturates my mind and actually replaces any thoughts that might be circling inside my mind.
When relaxing music begins to saturate the mind, calmness sets in and a relaxing sleep may come sooner than later. Only way to know is to try.
I wrote two songs this past January that have passed my falling asleep test -- Lumina and Lazy Afternoon. See how they work for you and send me a message.
If you want to feel more daily bliss, spin some relaxing music with uplifting and energizing tones when you wake up from sleep. It can have a positive impact on your mood and help you start the day on a positive note.
Listening to relaxing music as a part of a morning routine can also help us stay focused and motivated, and set a clear intention for the day.
It's important to note that the effects of listening to relaxing music will vary from person to person. And listening is just one aspect of a calming lifestyle along with things like exercise, meditation and healthy diet.
