Quogue Morning is inspired by my early walks at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. Walking without an agenda, I let nature set the tempo as forest, wetland, and still ponds unfold quietly. When I sat with the guitar, I allowed the feeling of those walks to guide the music. The piece unfolds unhurried and spacious, like morning light on water—present, grounded, and open.
