Introducing Shambhu Sessions: Artist Spotlight

A New Way to Listen, Share, and Support New Music

Over the past months, my podcast series Shambhu Sessions has grown in ways I’m deeply grateful for. What began as a series of intimate conversations with artists I feel passionate about has resonated with listeners, musicians, and music community members around the world.

With that growth has come an increasing number of requests from producers, managers, and publicists asking if I would interview their clients for the podcast. So many of these artists are doing meaningful and heartfelt work, and I’ve genuinely appreciated being introduced to so much new music.

At the same time, Shambhu Sessions has always been a curated podcast guided by my personal connections, artistic resonance and heart rather than volume, obligation or marketing.

That balance led me to create something new.

Introducing "Artist Spotlight"

Shambhu Sessions: Artist Spotlight is a short-form video interview series designed to give artists a focused, professional, and thoughtful way to talk about a new single or album release.

Each Artist Spotlight is a 12-15-minute video conversation, created specifically for the artist’s own promotional use — in websites, social media, newsletters, and press outreach. The format is relaxed, respectful, and centered on the music: the inspiration behind it, the creative process, and what the artist hopes listeners will feel.

Artist Spotlights are not episodes of the Shambhu Sessions podcast. Artist Spotlight exists alongside the podcast — a complementary format that allows me to support more artists while preserving the editorial direction of Shambhu Sessions.

A blog post can be included with Artist Spotlight.

Why This Matters

In today’s fast-moving music landscape, artists are often asked to compress their stories into soundbites or promotional blurbs. Artist Spotlight offers something different: a calm, well-crafted space to be heard.

For artists, it provides:

• a professionally produced video interview

• high-quality audio and video files they can reuse

• authentic, long-form promotional content that feels personal rather than transactional

• a blog post that can be included as an option.

For me, it creates a way to listen more widely.
